Affordability

The 3AFN Membership fee is $1.00 per year.

All money received from members goes towards helping to acquire more food.

Each package consists of at least four bags and costs $25. Comparisons to date have proven that to buy the same amount of food from retailers would cost at least four times this amount.

How do we do it ?

Food is bought at a discount or donated by farmers, wholesalers or distributors

Thanks to community partners, overhead costs are eliminated. Packing space is donated and volunteers provide the manpower to pack all bags.

All the savings are passed on to members. In this way, we are able to minimize costs and everyone enjoys the full benefits of the cooperative effort.

 

Accessibility

Distributor sites located at prime locations around the city and in surrounding communities make it as easy as possible for members to obtain their food packages close to where they either live, work or study.

Members can place as many orders as they would like. Distribution times are the first and third Wednesday of each month. Orders must be placed by Sunday preceding each distribution day. Members needing immediate or emergency packages should call our corporate office at 770 282-2100.
